College World Series Kicking Off at UVa!
We have a friend who lives in the Florida Panhandle. He's also a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan, but we still love him. If Dallas is playing in the Southeast, he's going to the game. Each season, he'll trek to New Orleans, Atlanta, Dallas, or even Charlotte. If his 'Boys are playing and he can drive there, he's going.
How far would you drive for a good game? What if the Final Four was in Raleigh? How about an NBA playoff in Washington.
And admit it - how often have you hopped on 64 West to check out the Hokies or Cavs? You may need to make that trek pretty soon!
For the 8th time - and 5th consecutive year! - The University of Virginia is hosting the regionals for the NCAA College World Series! The Cavaliers are the over-all #3 Seed, and joined in their bracket by Liberty, Arkansas, and Bucknell. Overall, 64 teams compete, from all over the country. This is the "March Madness" of college baseball! So you're certain to see some quality ball, and many of the athletes you see will no doubt end up in the Big Leagues.
Virginia is a lock for a national seed, and if they can take the Charlottesville bracket, they'll stay at home as host of the Super Regional. Wouldn't that be cool? They met Bucknell on Friday, May 29 at 2 (results not in as we write this). In the meantime, come by and see us for your bona-fide University of Virginia wear!
